8. TROUBLESHOOTING

Type of Problem
Power switch turns off
Vortex Blower is
making a droning
sound
Vortex Blower makes
no sound
Cause
Terminal short circuit
Stator coil short circuit
Contact defect in switch
Power supply has been
damaged.
Phase failure in the power
supply.
Stator coil is damaged.
Damaged ball bearing has
caused contact between the
rotor and the stator.
Foreign objects have been
inhaled, causing restriction
to the impeller.
Impeller and the casing
come in contact at the side
cover.
Power supply has been

Corrective Action
Repair or replace the wiring.
Contact the local Hitachi
distributor for repair.
Replace the contact or switch.
Inspect and fix the power as
