A lead-acid battery will fail due to sulphating if it is not fully charged for a longer period of time. The PowerXtreme X10 battery consists of 4 cells connected in series with a nominal voltage of 3.2V which together form 12.8V.

If the battery is connected to a charger but at the same time power is requested by users, the resulting current is displayed.
To charge the battery while driving, the PowerXCharger XC3 is available as an option. This converts the charging voltage of the car alternator into the right charging voltage for the PowerXtreme battery. Due to the limited charging current, there is no need to install thick wiring. The XC3 also acts as a battery guard.
