Note: Determine the left and right sides of the tractor from the normal operating position.

Recommended Maintenance Schedule

Maintenance Service

After first 20 hours
Each use
Every 25 hours
Every 50 hours
Every 100 hours
Before storage

Change the engine oil after the first use; change it every 25 hours under heavy load or high ambient temperature.

Perform this procedure more often in dusty, dirty conditions.
Important
Refer to your engine operator's manual for additional maintenance procedures.
If you leave the key in the ignition switch, someone could accidently start the engine and
seriously injure you or other bystanders.
Remove the key from the ignition and disconnect the wire from the spark plug before you do any
maintenance. Set the wire aside so that it does not accidentally contact the spark plug.
Maintenance Procedure
Check the blade drive belt adjustment.
Check the oil level.
Check the safety system.
Clean the mower housing.
Check the battery electrolyte level.
Check the tire pressure.
Check the blades.
Check the brakes.

Grease the chassis.
Service the foam air cleaner.
Clean the outside of the engine.

Change the oil.
Adjust the blade drive belt.
Replace the oil filter.
Replace the paper air cleaner.
Perform all of the maintenance procedures listed above.
Check the belts for wear or cracks.
Drain the gasoline.
Paint chipped surfaces.
Charge the battery and disconnect the cables.
Replace the fuel filter.
Replace the spark plug.
