Edit a directory entry

1. Search for the desired entry in the directory (see Review
directory entries or Alphabetical search on page 28).
2. When the desired entry displays, press SELECT. The
handset displays Edit number.
3. Use the dialing keys to edit the number.
• Press or
• Press DELETE to erase a digit.
• Press and hold DELETE to erase all digits.
• Press and hold PAUSE to enter a dialing pause
(a P appears).
• Press
( appears).
4. Press SELECT. The handset displays Edit name.
5. Use the dialing keys to edit the name.
• Press or
• Press DELETE to erase a character.
• Press and hold DELETE to erase all characters.
6. Press SELECT to save. The handset displays Saved and
then the revised entry. You hear a confirmation tone.

Delete a directory entry

1. Search for the desired entry in the directory (see Review
directory entries or Alphabetical search on page 28).
2. Press DELETE and then the handset displays
Delete contact?
3. Press SELECT to confirm. The handset displays Deleting...
and then Contact deleted. The handset returns to the
previous menu and you hear a confirmation tone.
