GROUND (earth) TERMINAL

Make sure to ground (earth) the generator.
Check "SAFETY INFORMATION" (See page 4).

Check the fluid level and fill if necessary.
Use only distilled water if refilling is necessary.

Installation
1. Turn the engine switch to "STOP" to prevent acci-
dental short circuiting.
2. Install the battery on the battery mount tray
securely.
TIP
Connect the positive lead (red) to the positive (+) bat-
tery terminal first, then the negative lead (black) to the

negative (–) battery terminal. Do not reverse these
positions.

9 Be sure to service battery leads to prevent arc-
ing when the battery is not installed.
9 Disconnect the battery charging output lead.
Then insulate the generator side connector by
folding it back on itself and carefully wrapping
it with electrical tape to prevent electrical con-
tact with ground (earth) or any other leads.

9 Remove the battery leads from the generator.
