URINAL PLUMBING ARRANGEMENTS continued...
1.
Direct mains water supply using box rim type urinal with AB air gap. Water is delivered to the
solenoid valve which opens for a few seconds when triggered by the sensor.
E621501 Jasper Morrison and E570101 Profile 21 box rim urinal are WRAS approved for use in UK.
2.
For standard urinal see next page.
3.
A standard urinal can be flushed by an auto
cistern which is topped-up by mains water
supply as shown.
When triggered, the solenoid valve releases
mains water into the auto cistern. On filling
to its flush level, the water will automatically
siphon & flush the urinal.
Normally the cistern fill rate is restricted with
either a pet cock or the flow regulator provided
(6L/min).
For example this system can be set up such
that a flush occurs after 7 uses of the urinal
(flow rate & run time dependent, see section 7)
General note: For all urinal flushing systems, maximum water fill rate (or discharge
volume for flushing) must not exceed 1.5 litres per urinal activation. This ensures instal-
lation complies with water regulations.
NOTE: The flush run time should be adjusted to change the volume
of water discharged when the sensor is activated. See section 7.
