    Also be sure to: Load the printable side face-up. It’s often whiter or brighter than the other side. Load letterhead or preprinted paper into the printer top edge first. Don’t load paper above the arrow on the left edge guide.

    If ink gets on your hands, wash them thoroughly with soap and water. If ink gets in your eyes, flush them thoroughly with water. Caution: To avoid damaging the printer, never move the print head by hand. You cannot print if an ink cartridge is empty. Even though you have a second black cartridge, you cannot print if one is empty.
