Cruise Control
CAUTION:
{
Cruise control can be dangerous where you
cannot drive safely at a steady speed. So, do
not use your cruise control on winding roads
or in heavy traffic.
Cruise control can be dangerous on slippery
roads. On such roads, fast changes in tire
traction can cause excessive wheel slip, and
you could lose control. Do not use cruise
control on slippery roads.
With cruise control, you can maintain a speed of about
25 mph (40 km/h) or more without keeping your foot
on the accelerator. This can really help on long
trips. Cruise control does not work at speeds below
about 25 mph (40 km/h).
When you apply your brakes, cruise control is turned off.
If your vehicle has the StabiliTrak
to limit wheel spin while you are using cruise control, the
cruise control will automatically disengage. See
®
StabiliTrak
System on page 4-6. When road conditions
allow you to safely use it again, you may turn the
cruise control back on.

Do you have a question about the 2008 Escalade and is the answer not in the manual?
Questions and answers
My interior exit/entry lights are not working. I’ve made sure that they are programed to do so. They come on if I press their buttons. What can be the problem?
If the interior exit/entry lights are not working on a 2008 Cadillac Escalade despite being programmed correctly, possible issues could include:
1. Blown Fuse – A fuse related to the interior lighting may be blown and needs to be checked and replaced if necessary.
2. Burnt-Out Bulbs – The interior light bulbs may have burned out and require replacement.
3. Faulty Door Switch – A malfunctioning door switch might prevent the lights from turning on when the door is opened.
4. Battery or Electrical Issue – A weak battery or wiring problem could prevent power from reaching the lights.
5. Manual Override Setting – The interior lighting control may have been manually turned off.
Checking these components can help identify and resolve the issue.
