Sealing the CAL Jumper
In order to restrict access to configuration mode in the 380, a the CAL jumper must be shorted with a jumper cap and the
indicator must be sealed.
Access to setup mode is typically allowed through pressing
applications it is necessary to restrict access to setup mode. The CAL jumper controls whether or not setup mode is accessible.
If the CAL jumper is shorted with a jumper cap and sealed as in
Figure 2-8 on page 8
for the location of the CAL jumper on the CPU board.
In certain Legal for Trade applications it is necessary to seal the indicator to restrict access to the CAL jumper.
Breaking of the seal terminates the Legal for Trade status of the indicator because the seal limits access to the

configuration menu.
Always place jumper onto JP3 directly aligned with the pins. If jumper is rotated or mis-aligned, the jumper
will be damaged.
