    Using the Battery A battery is an auxiliary power source you can use when your computer is not plugged into an AC outlet. Your computer may come equipped with one or two battery bays, depending on the model you purchased. If your computer comes with two battery bays, you can purchase a second rechargeable battery to extend your computing time.

The lithium-ion battery supplied with your computer may be recharged at any time, whether you wait until the battery is completely or partially discharged.

The New Connection Wizard and Network Setup Wizard make it easy to gain access to remote and local area networks (LANs) using wireless, Ethernet, or dial-up connections.

Computers equipped with a CD-RW/DVD drive can play DVDs and can read most DVD-R media. Computers equipped with a DVD-RW drive can play and copy files to DVDs.

    You can copy files to a DVD-R or DVD-RW if your computer is equipped with a DVD-RW drive. The Sony Click to DVD program is ideal for creating full-featured video DVDs, and the Drag’n Drop CD/DVD program is ideal for creating data DVDs.
