• HF error.
Is output (tracking error signal) obtained at the pin 35 (TSO) of
IC801 when the CD test mode "STEP4" is set?
Is tracking output obtained at the pin 30 (TS20) of IC801 when
the CD test mode "STEP5" is set?
Is output obtained between the pins 6 and 7 of IC804?
Check the connection between IC804 and CNW801.
If OK, the optical pickup is faulty.
• No sound.
No sound from both L and R-ch?
Is power supply voltage of IC802 normal?
Is signal of pins 2 and 6 of IC802 output?
The main PWB is faulty.
• Track search failure
Does the sled motor run in FF/REW state when the servo
test mode "STEP1" is set?
Is the following waveform output at the pin 35 (TSO) of IC801
during track search in normal playback?
Is the following waveform output at the pin 5 (RFRP) of IC801
during track jump?
Is the following waveform output at the pin 30 (TS20) and pin
35 (TSO) of IC801 during track jump?
Check the pariphery of pin 30 (TS20) and pin 26 (FUSO) of
IC801.
