7. Power on the NAS. Installing Expansion Cards The NAS supports selected expansion cards, some of which require QNAP PCIe brackets. QNAP-branded expansion cards purchased from the company website are shipped with the brackets necessary to fit all QNAP NAS models. The TS-x53Be series uses low-profile flat brackets.

The NAS has two memory slots. Depending on the model, you can increase the memory capacity of the NAS by upgrading one or both modules. When using two modules, use only QNAP modules of the same type and capacity to maintain system performance and stability. You can purchase QNAP memory modules from authorized resellers.
