I changed the batteries and the date and time disappeared. I'm following the instructions but when I hold down the button to set the time and date I get a flashing letter P and can't go any further. Help!

The Omron BP761N blood pressure monitor requires resetting the date and time after changing the batteries. If the year is flashing on the display, refer to the "Setting the Date and Time" section in the manual to adjust the settings.

To confirm the user on the Omron BP761N:
1. Press and hold the START/STOP button for more than 3 seconds. 2. The user ID symbol and date/time will appear on the screen. 3. Release the START/STOP button when the date/time disappears.
The monitor will then start inflating the cuff automatically for the selected user.
