The Kobalt KLDP1 inflator could stop producing pressure when pumping trailer tires to 55 psi due to the following reasons:
1. Fuse Issue: The fuse in the 12-volt power plug may be blown. Check and replace the fuse with an AGC – 10 Amp replacement fuse if necessary. 2. Weak Vehicle Battery: A weak 12-volt vehicle battery may not provide sufficient power for optimal inflator performance. Ensure the vehicle battery is fully charged. 3. Overheating: The inflator may overheat after 10 minutes of continuous operation. Allow the inflator to cool down for 10 minutes before resuming use. 4. Dirty Power Outlet: A dirty 12-volt power outlet (with ash residue or debris) could cause overheating or power issues. Clean the outlet to ensure proper operation. 5. Overloaded Circuit: A circuit breaker may have tripped, or the power source may not be supplying adequate power. Reset the breaker or verify the power source. 6. Improper Connection: The power cord may not be properly connected. Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into the power source.
Check these potential issues to resolve the problem.

The Kobalt KLDP1 inflator may not be inflating your tire due to several possible reasons:
1. Power Source Issue – Ensure the inflator is connected to the correct power source (DC 12V or AC 120V) as specified in the manual. Using an incorrect voltage may prevent operation.
2. Overheating – If the inflator has been used continuously for 10 minutes, it needs to cool down for 10 minutes before reuse.
3. Automatic Shutoff – The inflator has a tolerance of ±2 PSI and may shut off if it detects it has reached the set pressure.
4. Improper Connection – Check that the air hose is securely attached to the tire valve and that there are no leaks.
5. Overinflation Protection – Ensure that the set pressure is appropriate and does not exceed the inflator’s maximum working pressure of 120 PSI.
6. Device Malfunction – If all conditions are met and the inflator still does not work, it may require servicing or replacement of parts.
Make sure to follow all safety and usage instructions from the manual to avoid damage or injury.

The Kobalt KLDP1 inflator may display an incorrect pressure like 127.5 when not connected due to a sensor error or lack of pressure input. This can happen if the inflator is not properly connected to an item being inflated.
To reset the target pressure: 1. Disconnect the inflator from the 12 Volt DC Power Outlet. 2. Reconnect it to clear the previous target PSI setting. 3. Use the ▲ or ▼ buttons on the Digital Pressure Gauge to set a new target PSI.
