When the tank is full, the gas will begin to splutter a lot and much more gas will escape the valve. When the gas tank is full you are ready to fire up the engine.

As steam enters cold cylinders, it condenses, so expect a fair amount of water to come out at the beginning of each run. Once the cylinders have warmed up, you can close the drain cocks, if you wish.
