my conditioner light is blinking, but the salt level shows 2, and I have salt up to level 3, and the "clean" light is not showing either, so what could cause the light to blink?

The blinking light on a Rheem RHW42 conditioner when the salt level shows 2 could be caused by the salt level being set too low. The manual states that the status light will flash at level 2 or below. If the actual salt level in the brine well is at level 3, you need to press the SET SALT LEVEL button to adjust the salt level bars on the display to match the actual salt level in the brine well.

The Rheem RHW42 water softener uses 1.20 cubic feet of high-capacity ion exchange resin. However, the context does not specify the exact amount of salt and cleaning liquid needed in cubic feet.
