    Additionally Monimoto comes with a Key Fob which is kept with the owner and works on a proximity basis. It must be kept with the owner (not anywhere inside or on the motorcycle) at all times. Why? If you keep it...
  • Page 7 The Monimoto Key Fob is not supposed to be attached to your keys and should be kept separate - in your pocket or backpack. This will prevent you from losing the linked Key Fob in case your motorcycle keys are stolen. Each Monimoto device can connect up to 3 Key Fobs. After some time you will need to change the battery in the Key Fob.

    Monimoto also remains in Ready (Armed) mode if the owner has a Key Fob while riding the motorcycle. 2.2. ALARM MODE When Monimoto senses any type of motion, movement or vibration, the first thing it does is a Key Fob check. If the Key Fob is not found, the device will enter Alarm mode.
  • Page 10 When in alarm mode Monimoto first calls the owner’s number. It will call ONCE and after that you will start receiving push notifications to the Monimoto app. You will see a GPS location if precise location data is received or an approximate location from LTE network triangulation using Cell ID if GPS is not available.

    There are 4 ways an alarm is cancelled and returns Monimoto back to Ready (Armed) mode: • Exit Alarm with Key Fob. Once the Key Fob is detected within the 10m (~30ft) range, Monimoto will automatically return to Ready mode.

    3. PERIODIC CHECK Monimoto regularly performs a battery check and updates status to your phone. If Monimoto encounters LTE network issues or batteries are drained and periodic checks cannot be performed you will be notified in the app. The frequency of periodic checks can be set using the Monimoto app.

    Once the setup process has been completed you should receive an SMS from your device. Be sure to add that number to your contacts with an appropriate name so you recognize it immediately in case of alarm. STEP 3 After pairing, hide and attach Monimoto to your vehicle using two zip ties.

    2. Switch off Bluetooth on your phone and close the application. 3. Take your Monimoto-equipped vehicle for a test drive. 4. In approx. 1 minute you will receive a call from Monimoto and soon after push notifications should arrive to the Monimoto app.

    7. BATTERY REPLACEMENT 1. Remove Monimoto from your vehicle by releasing zip ties. 2. Remove the old AA FR6 batteries from the battery pocket and properly dispose of them. 3. Wait for 2 minutes. 4. Position the new batteries and insert them into the battery pocket based on the positive/negative terminals as indicated on the main board of Monimoto.

    • To switch the system off, remove one of the batteries. • Keep new or used CR2450 batteries (ones that are used in Monimoto Key Fob3 or CR2032 for older Key Fob models) out of the reach of children. If a battery is swallowed, it can lead to serious burns resulting in internal bleeding or death.
