THANK YOU for your purchase of F3K competition sailplane FLITZ 2!
H
We made a main effort while drawing and building thisall molded sailplane so that it is the best model you ever built and fly.
We provide you a kit with the highest quality and the best possible performances.
We wish you a great success while assembling and flying your new FLITZ 2.
One of the most powerful F3K competition sailplane of the market!
Development tasks of our competition model Flitzebogen were easily controllable flight characteristics to easily focus on the various F3K
tasks.
These include a simple circling, good launch heights and a flight weight, that does not have to be significantly above 300g in strong winds.
A few key points for the implementation:
with 6.5 °/ each side a lot of dihedral for effective circles with the rudder.
l
short fuselage nose, short tail boom and slim wing tips reduce the moment of inertia.
l
set of six airfoils for local Reynolds numbers, with sufficient lift at the tips for slow circling.
l
thin rudder profile with a high Cl-max for rapid oscillation damping.
l
fuselage with a small cross section, especially in the turbulent region behind the wing.
l
Development task of the new Flitzebogen is a further improvement of distance flying, without losing much of the good slow flying
characteristics of Flitz 1.
The aerodynamic facilities are extended by the positive trend in weight and stiffness of the airframe.
A few key points for the implementation:
new thinner set of six airfoils for local Reynolds numbers, with the same zero-lift angle, for a non twisted wing.
l
less drag than Flitz1 up to Cl 0.6, with minimal more drag in higher lift area.
l
the thickness of the inner profile is adapted to the thinest currently available servos.
l
constant chord for the flaps of 28% of the local chord depths.
l
higher aspect ratio and maintaining the depth of the tips for further uncritical slow flying.
l
less wing area to reduce the take-off mass in windy conditions.
l
further reduction of fuselage surface.
l
cambered elevator to save drag counts at low speeds.

REMINDER
We take great care to delivering the best possible quality.
We kindly remind you that these models are not ready to fly and that the remaining work is an important part to get the model flying. For this reason,
please, check all glue joints and assemblies.
Safety first!
We thank you for your attention during the assembly of our kits, and wish you good and numerous flights!
