Replace the top cover or access port to the I/O channel.

Connect the AT-FBUS to the fieldbus network.
If you want to make your own fieldbus cable, make sure that it uses
pins 6 and 7 for the fieldbus signals, as specified in the Fieldbus
Standard for Use in Industrial Control Systems, Part 2,
ISA-S50.02.1992. See Figure 2-2 for the connector pinout of the
AT-FBUS.

On the AT-FBUS/2, the top connector is port 1 and the lower connector
is port 2.

Power on your computer.
After you have installed your AT-FBUS board, and you are ready to
install the NI-FBUS software, refer to Chapter 3, Software Installation
and Configuration, for instructions on how to install the software.
Follow the instructions in this section if you need to change the hardware
default settings of the AT-FBUS board. Refer to the Evaluate the
Hardware Settings section at the beginning of this chapter for reasons to
change the default settings of your AT-FBUS board.
