Actuator
Actuators can be power relays or contactors for switching on loads, or they can be loads
themselves (e.g. directly controlled solenoid valves).
Actuators convert electric signals into other physical quantities (for example, into temperature
or movement).
AR (Application Relationship)
Application relationship - association between an IO device and an IO controller
Automation system
Programmable logic controller for the open-loop and closed-loop control of process sequences
of the process engineering industry and manufacturing technology. The automation system
consists of different components and integrated system functions depending on the automation
task.
BU cover
Cover for slots that are not equipped with I/O modules. For a future expansion, the reference
identification label of the planned I/O module can be kept here.
Bus
Shared transmission path to which all nodes of a fieldbus system are connected; has two
defined ends.
BusAdapter
Enables free selection of the connection system for the PROFINET fieldbus.
