OPTIONAL CUTTING BOARD KIT (MODEL 1004) You can order an optional cutting board, Model 1004, from your Broan Distribu- tor, or write Broan Mfg. Co., Inc., Hart- ford, WI 53027. The cutting board rests on the top of the compactor, and features non-marring rubber feet and a gravy groove on the top.

Although it is not necessary to compact until the drawer is full or nearly so, it is suggested that for maximum compac- tion, you start the compactor each time a significant amount of trash is added. At full stroke, the ram does not travel all the way to the bottom of the container.
