SITE SELECTION

Select ground that is flat, smooth and dry.
Endeavour to locate the awning entrance away
from direct wind. DO NOT erect on rough
ground where sharp rocks etc may cause
damage to your product.

INFLATABLE TUBES

Your awning comprises of inflatable bladders
retained within a reinforced zipped oxford
polyester retaining sleeve to support the
awning's flysheet. The inflatable tubes require a
maximum of 5psi pressure to provide rigid
support. DO NOT OVER INFLATE AS THIS
WILL CAUSE THE INFLATABLE BLADDER TO
RUPTURE.
The air valves on the tubes are attached with
retaining straps but are not pre-fitted and will
need to be screwed into place before inflation.
Carefully screw the valve's body on ensuring
that you do not cross the valve's thread. Do not
over tighten but ensure sufficiently tight to
produce a good seal. Should you require spare
valves, these are available to purchase from
your SunnCamp stockist.
AIR INFLATOR PUMP
The awning is supplied with a manual air pump
specifically designed for use with the awning's
air valves. You must not use any other type of
pump (including 12v tyre inflators or air
compressors). Before using the pump it will
require assembling. Follow the instructions on
the front of the pump. Please note that your
pump is fitted with a dump valve and it is
essential you use this to avoid over inflation.
AWNING
Lay the awning flysheet out on the selected
ground area with the entrance correctly
positioned. Slide the beaded rear edge of the
awning in the caravan's awning channel.
Secure the awning to the ground by the corner
tags using the awning pegs. The inflatable
tube(s) is fitted with a single inflation valve
which is at ground level. Remove the valve cap
(turn anti-clockwise). The valve cap should be
attached to the valve body by a plastic tab, if

not, make sure you keep the cap safe ready to
replace once inflation is complete. Insert the
nozzle of the hose into the valve using firm
pressure. Operate the pump, making necessary
adjustments to the awning flysheet as the tube
inflates. It may be necessary to lift the tube(s) to
help position the tube(s) during the last stages
of inflation. Once you reach a pressure of 5psi,
stop pumping. Carefully disconnect the pump
nozzle and replace the valve cap where
applicable. Repeat this process for all the
inflatable tubes. DO NOT OVER INFLATE AS
THIS MAY CAUSE THE TUBE TO EXPLODE.
PLEASE READ THE SECTION ON AIR
PRESSURE MAINTENANCE. Bring the awning
to an upright position before pegging out the
storm straps. These may need to be re-pegged
later.

STORM MATE STRAPS

Attach the storm mate straps supplied to the
storm mate clips. The storm mate straps are
designed and supplied to help secure the
awning in windy conditions but are not to be
relied upon as an anchor in severe adverse
weather conditions.
ENTRANCE
Ensure that all entrances to the awning are
closed with zips fully secured. Failure to do this
will result in your awning being out of alignment
when fitting the awning pegs.
AWNING PEGS
Peg the awning's remaining pegging points to
the ground. The rear two corner pegging points
should be pegged first followed by the front two
corner pegging points to obtain the correct
shape. Peg all remaining pegging points
remembering to cross any zip door opening
points. Pegs should be inserted into the ground
at a 45 degree angle away from the awning.
Hammer the pegs into the ground with a
suitable mallet. DO NOT PRESS PEGS INTO
THE GROUND WITH YOUR FOOT AS THIS
MAY BEND THE PEGS.For extraction of pegs
use a tent peg extractor. To allow easy hooking
and unhooking of pegging points at entrances
to your awning (for opening and closing doors)
leave the pegs used at the entrances slightly
raised.
GUY ROPES
Secure each guy rope by positioning with a peg
at a suitable distance from the awning. When
pegged, tighten each guy rope using the guy
rope's slider equally to bring the awning to its
natural shape. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN THE
GUY ROPES. GUY ROPES ARE A TRIP
HAZARD ESPECIALLY IN THE DARK.
ADJUSTABLE REAR WEATHER PAD
POLES
These are an optional extra and can be
purchased from your SunnCamp stockist.
Please quote product code DT0052. Rear
supports pad poles should be located into the
pockets at the top back corner of the awning
canvas. The awning's weather seal pads should
be positioned in between the caravan's wall and
the support poles. Both rear support poles
should be extended and the mini quick lock
brackets locked to hold the poles under tension.
FRONT ENTRANCE/SIDE
ENTRANCES/WINDOWS
The front entrance of your awning can be rolled
out of the way or it can be raised to create a
porch. Should you wish to create a porch, a
porch pole set is available to purchase from
your SunnCamp stockist. When you close the
doors on your awning check carefully that the
zip covers are fully secured into place by
ensuring the velcro tabs are aligned. Ensure the
awning's skirt is also correctly positioned and
secured by awning pegs. Failure to do this may
result in water ingress.
SIDE DOORS
The awning's two side doors have a secondary
mesh panel allowing the door to be fully open to
provide ventilation whilst keeping insects out.
Both the solid outer door and the inner mesh
door can independently be rolled to the side
