Operation

The category 1 emergency stop, i.e. controlled emergency stop, operates as follows.
User presses the emergency
RDIO-01 = digital I/O extension module
stop push-button.
A21 = safety relay
A22 = safety relay
K21 = feedback response time relay
K22 and K23 = tripping time relays
Relay A21 de-energises and
deactivates relays K21, K22, K23
and digital input DI2 of the RDIO
module.
ACS800 application program receives "EM
STOP BY RAMP" command from RDIO and
gives an acknowledgement signal to relay K21
via relay output RO1 of the RDIO module.
NO (no acknowledgement signal via RDIO)
RO1 of RDIO energised within
2 seconds?
YES (
acknowledgement signal via RDIO)
Relay K21 keeps energised.
Relay K21 de-energises.
Relay A22 de-energises.
The drive decelerates the motor according
to a preset ramp time (par. 22.07).
Line contactor opens.
Motor comes to a standstill.
Motor coasts to stop.
The contacts of tripping time relays K22
and K23 open after the preset time (set >
ramp time of par. 22.07) has elapsed.
Relay A22 de-energises.
Line contactor opens.
