UV lamp exchange

This instruction is valid for the Hg and Zn lamps.

WARNING! The UV monitor uses high-intensity, ultra violet light. To prevent

injury to eyes disconnect the power to the monitor before removing the UV lamp.

Preparations

1. Turn off the main power to the instrument.

2. Disconnect the UV lamp power cable from the instrument.

3. Remove the UV monitor unit from the instrument.

Installing the UV Hg lamp

1. On the lamp housing, remove the two screws on the end plate that is attached to

the power cable.

Page 2 2. Slide the old lamp out of the lamp housing. 3. Insert the new lamp into the lamp housing. Do not touch the lamp with bare hands. Use a clean cloth. CAUTION! 4. Assemble the lamp and the washer so that the holes for the screws are visible.
