Remedy
Have your place of purchase perform the following.
• Install the speed sensor in the appropriate location.
• Install the magnet in the appropriate location. (Refer
to the "Disc brake" section in "General operations"
or to the STEPS series dealer's manual for how to
install the removed magnet.)
If the error persists, or if the information above does
not apply, contact your distributor for assistance.
• When the drive unit is the DU-EP800 (the cycle
computer displays W103): Turn the cranks in reverse
two to three times.
• When the drive unit is a different model (the cycle
computer displays W013): Press the battery power
button to turn the power OFF and then ON again
without placing your feet on the pedals.
If the error persists after performing the above, contact
your place of purchase or a distributor for assistance.
Request the place of purchase to perform the following.
Remove the components other than the drive unit one
at a time and turn the power ON again.
• The power is turned OFF during startup if the
component causing the problem was not removed.
• The power is turned ON and W104 continues to be
displayed if the component causing the problem was
removed.
Refer to the SHIMANO STEPS user's manual and perform
the following. Turn the power OFF and then ON again.
If W105 is displayed frequently, have your place of
purchase perform the following.
• Eliminate any rattling in the battery mount and
ensure that it is secured appropriately in place.
• Check whether the power cord is damaged. If so,
replace it with the required part.
If the error persists, contact your distributor for
assistance.
