High voltage is applied to coaxial plugs of AC ionisers. When the HV supply is switched on and coaxial plugs are being plugged in or out, an arc may occur and damage the socket of the HV supply and the coaxial plug of the AC ioniser. TAIFUN-CLEAN 014/015/016... -

Activate all safety equipment and ON/OFF switch before start-up. Approach the device only when the entire system is switched off. Before initial start of the entire system, check that all tools and foreign objects have been removed. TAIFUN-CLEAN 014/015/016... -

Machine components which are earthed must not be located between the ioniser and the part to be cleaned or in the immediate vicinity of the ionisers. No additional components must be placed between ionisers and product surface (Ex- ception: electrically non-conductive or insulated slide or retaining elements if neces- sary). ESD-protected areas The conductive suction hose is contacted via the pointed screw of the ESD hose clamp. The green or green-yellow cable on the hose clamp can be additionally connected to earth. However, this is not strictly necessary. TAIFUN-CLEAN 014/015/016... -

Earthing for the ionisers is provided via the existing HV cable and plug. No extra earth- ing is required. Detailed information, e.g. the maximum connection length, can be referred to in the operating instructions of the ionisers and HV power supplies. TAIFUN-CLEAN 014/015/016... -

The LV cables of the DC ionisers are connected to the power supply via screw connect- ors. Consult the operating instructions for the DC ionisers. 4.5.3 Earth Connection ESD-protected areas Connect a suitable earth cable with ring cable lug to the cleaning device at the in- tended earthing point. In this case the warranty becomes invalid. The operating air pressure in the rotating nozzle must not exceed the maximum permitted air pressure. 5. Optimise the blowing effect by adjusting the compressed air via the filter control valve. 6. Switch on suction system. ▪ Are the suction unit filters heavily contaminated? 6.5 Cleaning Result Is Unsatisfactory An unsatisfactory cleaning result can have various causes: ▪ The compressed air supply and therefore the air nozzles are not operating cor- rectly. ▪ The ionisation is not operating correctly. 1. Remove the cover disc, if present, by loosening the screws. 2. Set the mounting tool TCK7 on the rotating nozzle. 3. Turn the mounting tool TCK7 in a clockwise direction, until the rotating nozzle is hand-tight. 4. If necessary, mount the cover disc again. TAIFUN-CLEAN 014/015/016... -

The emitters of the ionisers are sharp and can cause injury. Do not touch the emitter tips. 1. Release attachment screws as shown in Fig. 8, p. 31 2. Carefully pull out the ioniser in the direction shown. 3. Fit replacement ioniser by working in reverse order. TAIFUN-CLEAN 014/015/016... -
