After changing the filter and resetting the unit, the red light in front comes on and never progresses to green or blue anymore. Nothing else in my house has changed other than replacing the filter and resetting the unit.

The red light on your Medify Air MA-40 may not be changing to green or blue after replacing the filter and resetting the unit for the following reasons:
1. Incorrect Filter Installation – Ensure the new filter is installed correctly with the white side facing towards you and that any plastic packaging has been removed.
2. Improper Reset Process – After replacing the filter, reset the filter indicator light by holding down the FAN SPEED button and the IONIZER button at the same time for 3-5 seconds.
3. Air Quality Still Poor – The unit may still be detecting poor air quality, causing the light to remain red. Allow some time for the purifier to filter the air.
4. Sensor Blockage or Malfunction – Check for any obstructions around the air quality sensor and clean it if necessary.
If the issue persists, try turning the unit off and on again or ensure the filter is properly seated.
