It contains the most important safety instructions and brief information regarding conformity and technology.
2.2 Use not as intended The use of the SENEC.Home Li on or in the water (e.g. boats, ships, offshore installations), in the air or for mo- bile uses is expressly prohibited. Modifications to the SENEC.Home Li, which are not expressly authorised by DEV in writing, are not permitted.
Please read the following safety instructions carefully to prevent injury and damage. Only in this way can long-term safe operation of the SENEC.Home Li be guaranteed. The safety instructions must be observed in full for any work on the SENEC.Home Li.

• Charge state: Only charge the modules under the prescribed conditions (temperature range, voltage and current). Heat generation, smoke, fire or an explosion may result if you do not charge the modules under the prescribed conditions. • Reversed polarity: Do not fit or insert the battery modules with reversed polarity. Check the polarity, if the battery module cannot be easily inserted into the storage case.

3.2.1 Installation location The floor shall be designed to take the weight of the SENEC.Home Li. The area of the floor in which a person would be within an arm’s reach of the battery module shall be sufficiently conductive that electrostatic charge is avoided.
Only install the SENEC.Home Li if there is no condensation on the surfaces. ä Condensate can form inside the storage system if the temperature of the SENEC.Home Li on delivery is below the ambient temperature of the installation location. In this event, do not start using the SENEC.Home Li until you have left it standing for at least 24 hours with the side panels open.

Storage of electricity from other generators (CHP, wind power, etc.) Power from other generators can be stored in the SENEC.Home Li battery alternatively or in addition to the PV power. The precondition is that the generation unit supplies grid-compliant alternating current to the domestic power network.
The battery consists of one (SENEC.Home Li 2.5), two (SENEC.Home Li 5.0), three (SENEC.Home Li 7.5) or four (SENEC.Home Li 10.0) battery modules with a rated voltage of 46.8 V and a net capacity of 56.7 Ah at a constant discharge of 10 amperes per module. The battery management system built into each battery module continuously monitors the safety parameters for the module (temperature, current and voltage) to ensure smooth operation.

Fritz.Box devices have the option of night-time shutdown. You must deactivate this function on the end customer‘s system. The end customer’s router must also have a DHCP function, so as to be able to assign the SENEC.Home Li an IP address.

A second power flow direction sensor can be omitted for this reason. All the necessary data is sup- plied to the SENEC.Home Li by power flow direction sensor 1 and the PV inverter(s).
The circuit diagram must be followed exactly. All generators shall be connected between power flow direction sensor 1 and power flow direction sensor 2. Power flow direction sensor 1 and power flow direction sensor 2 then notify the SENEC.Home Li of the generation output, the domestic consumption and the volume of elec- tricity supplied.

• Make sure that the phases are identical. • The SENEC.Home Li is connected like any consumer. • The short original data cable on the power flow direction sensor(s) may not be removed, but only extended using a Cat.6 STP Snap-In metal modular adapter. The colour of the extension cable used for this must be the same as that of the cable to be extended.
3.2 Installation. Install a 3-pin B type 16 A miniature circuit breaker into the house wiring for the SENEC.Home Li. If you are also installing Econamic Grid, use a 32 A miniature circuit breaker (also B type) instead of the 16 A miniature circuit breaker.

8 Cascading multiple systems 8.1 Preconditions Up to seven SENEC batteries can run in cascaded operation. The precondition for this is that the battery(ies) is/are at least a system from the SENEC.Home G2.3 series or higher. SENEC.Business batteries can also be cascaded.
