How to use your Braun ThermoScan?

1. To achieve accurate readings, make sure a new,

clean lens filter (1) is in place before each

measurement.

2. IRT 4020: Push the «start» button (8).

IRT 4520: Push the «I/O» button (6).

During an internal self-check, the display shows

all segments. Then the last temperature taken will

be displayed together with «MEM».

Wait for the ready signal beep and the ready

symbol in the display.

3. Fit the probe snuggly into the ear canal, then push

the «start» button (8).

Heips! Sellainen probleema ilmennyt, että kuumemittari on alkanut näyttämään todella isoja lukemia. Mittari näyttää varmasti +2 c enemmän, kuin pitäisi. Korvasta mitataessa siis heilahtaa 39.6...40 tai jotain, vaikka vain normaalilämpö olisi, eli ei kuumetta. Onkohan tälle tehtävissä jotain?

If the Braun Thermoscan 6023 thermometer is showing inaccurate high temperature readings, follow these steps:

1. Ensure Proper Positioning – Make sure the thermometer is correctly placed in the ear canal for accurate measurements.
2. Check Lens Filter – Use a clean lens filter, as a dirty or damaged one can affect readings.
3. Allow Temperature Adjustment – Leave the thermometer in the room for at least 30 minutes to adjust to the surrounding temperature (should be between 10–40°C or 50–104°F).
4. Reset the Thermometer – Remove and reinstall the batteries to reset the device.
5. Replace Batteries – If the batteries are weak, replace them with new ones to ensure proper function.
6. Wait Before Retrying – If the screen flashes continuously without a reading, turn off the thermometer, wait for a minute, and turn it back on.
