Introducing HP TouchSmart Slate Edition
software
Your Slate also features HP TouchSmart Slate Edition software. You can use HP TouchSmart Slate
Edition software for all of your favorite activities:

Camera—Take snapshots and record videos with either the inward or the outward camera. To
start Slate Camera, tap the Camera icon in the Quick Launch area of the Home screen.
●
Music—Listen to your favorite music and create playlists. You can also select cover images,
rate your music, and edit the descriptions. To start Slate Music, tap the Music icon in the Quick
Launch area of the Home screen.
●
Photo—Organize your photos, create albums, and view slide shows. You can also upload your
photos to popular photo Web sites, such as Snapfish. To start Slate Photo, tap the Photo icon in
the Quick Launch area of the Home screen.
●
Video—Play videos, create playlists, and publish your videos on YouTube. To start Slate Video,
tap the Video icon in the Quick Launch area of the Home screen.
●
Firefox Web Browser—Search and browse the Internet and create links to your favorite Web
sites with the touch-optimized Firefox Web Browser.
●
Other applications—After adding an application to the Home screen, you can launch it by
tapping its icon.

HP Navigator (select models only)—Use GPS technology to search, map, and view or
listen to driving instructions for your favorite destinations.
◦
E-content—Access eBooks and online content with Barnes & Noble Reader or New York
Times Reader.
◦
HP QuickSync—Synchronizes and migrates e-mail, contacts, calendars, files, folders, and
browser bookmarks to your mobile storage devices.
