Job Handling function (Mac OS 9.0 to 9.2.2 and Mac OS X v10.2 to 10.4)
Printing when auditing mode is enabled
When "AUDITING MODE" is enabled in the system settings
(administrator), enter your 5-digit User Number in "User
Number" in the "Job Handling" menu of the Print window.

In Mac OS 9.0 to 9.2.2, select "On" in "User Number"
Note
in "User Authentication" in the Print window, and enter
your 5-digit user number in the box at right.

User Numbers are stored in the system settings
(administrator). (See "ACCOUNT CONTROL" in the
"SYSTEM SETTINGS (ADMINISTRATOR)" in the
operation manual.)
When auditing mode is enabled, a print job may not be

printed if an user number is not entered or an incorrect
user number is entered. This depends on the system
settings (administrator) settings. See "CANCEL JOBS
OF INVALID ACCOUNTS" in the "SYSTEM SETTINGS
(ADMINISTRATOR)" in the operation manual.

Using the print hold function
The print hold function is enabled in "Job Handling" in the Print
window.
The "Retention Settings" menu appears when the "Retention"
checkbox is selected.
Select the function that you wish to use in the "Retention" menu.
To assign a password to a print job, enter a 5-digit

number in "Password". (In Mac OS 9.0 to 9.2.2, select
"On" in "Password" and enter a 5-digit number in the box
at right.)
