- Page 2 ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS FOR SPEEDSTER SLATE BED POOL TABLE Important: Adult assembly only. This product requires a minimum of two strong people to assemble. 1. Choose a flat, clean surface on which to assemble the table. Remove all packaging including the cardboard lid. Remove all the accessories from inside the table. 2. - Page 3 3. Unclip the eight metal clasps from inside the table & remove the top lid frame. Put this carefully to one side for future use. 4. Turn the table up onto one of its long sides & begin to attach the box legs to the underneath. Fit a washer & a nut to one end only of all four metal rods. Each of the two box legs requires two metal rods to be threaded through from the bottom of the leg at two diagonal corners. 5. The metal rod threaded through at the top of the box leg is held in position by a small oblong piece of wood which helps guide the rod into the hole underneath the table. 2 ...
- Page 4 6. Support the box leg on a cushion & feed the rods into the holes underneath the table. 7. Attach the remaining washers & bolts to the ends of the rods from inside the table & tighten. 8. Fit the four adjustable height feet by screwing them into the bottom of each leg where indicated. 3 ...
- Page 5 9. Two strong people will be needed to lift the table up off the floor & to place it upright. Note that the table is heavy & extra care should be taken not to put pressure & weight onto just two of the feet when righting the table – place it down on all four feet at the same time. 10. Remove all packaging film from the slate bed. This is the heaviest part of assembly & must only be attempted by a minimum of two strong people. When lifting the slate onto the table ensure that the ‘spot & chalk line’ end of the slate marries with the ball return hole end of the table. Two people should pick the slate up (one at either end) with clean dry hands holding the corner pockets of the slate. The cloth will show up dirt from sweaty hands so make sure these are clean beforehand! Be very careful not to crush fingers under the slate! ...
- Page 6 11. Ensure the slate is in position as shown below. 12. Put the top lid frame back onto the table & reconnect the eight clasps through the holes in the base of the table. Use a spirit level to check the table is flat & adjust the height of the feet accordingly.
