4. charging
4.1.
the battery fitted to this lamp is considered to be a consumable item and its ability to accept charge will reduce over time. We will
warranty it against mechanical and electrical defect for a period of one year, this does not cover fair wear and tear. if the battery is not
properly charged before first use, or regularly conditioned, its capacity will diminish. under these circumstances we will not replace the
battery even if it is less than one year old.
4.2.
connect the charger into the charge socket on the lamp, see fig.1. Plug into power supply and turn on, the blue charge led on the lamp
will light as the battery charges. When fully charged the blue led will turn off.
4.3.
When the battery has fully charged (approx 6hrs) disconnect from mains supply.
note: the lithium battery does not suffer from memory effect and once fully charged may be stored for up to six months without another
charge.
5. operation
attaching lamp to bonnet.
5.1.
5.1.1.
the lamp will need to be charged before each use.
5.1.2.
to charge the lamp, use either the in-car charger, or the mains charger.
5.1.3.
fold the lamp out straight. Place the padded hook at the end of the lamp, over one edge of the bonnet and gently pull the lamp
towards the other side of the bonnet.
5.1.4.
steady the lamp with one hand, whilst extending the hook over the other side of the bonnet.
5.1.5.
to use the lamp, select one of the two brightness settings using the switch on the end of the lamp.
5.1.6.
When finished, fold up and store the lamp in a safe, dry and childproof location.
6. maintenance
6.1.
Keep lamp clean and check for damage before every use. if damage is observed, remove from use until unit is repaired.
6.2.
the battery is not designed to be removed .
recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. all tools, accessories and packaging should be
sorted, taken to a recycling centre and disposed of in a manner which is compatible with the environment.
When the product becomes completely unserviceable and requires disposal, drain off any fluids (if applicable)
into approved containers and dispose of the product and the fluids according to local regulations.
Waste electrical and electronic equipment (Weee). When the product is no longer required, it must be disposed
of in an environmentally protective way. contact your local solid waste authority for recycling information.
