    If you have an AOL, AIM, Netscape , or ® CompuServe 2000 screen name, you’re ready to go. If not, get one free from . To use this service, you need www.aim.com your Samsung e105(T2), and a screen name. Sign On to the AIM Service To use the AIM service, you must first sign on using your screen name and password.

    Conversations and Buddies The Buddy List is divided into these three sections Section Conversations Online Offline Description Lists the users you have an open conversation with. This section can contain buddies and other AIM users. Lists your buddies who are currently online.

    You may be trying to contact someone in your Buddy List, but that buddy is currently signed off. If you want to know when that buddy is available, you can set your phone to alert you when your buddy signs on. This alert expires after the buddy signs on.

    Sending and Receiving Messages Once you have your Buddy List in order and you have one or more online buddies to chat with, you are ready to have a conversation. Send an Instant Message You can send messages to a buddy in your Buddy List or to any AIM user.

    To send a message to any AIM user, complete the following steps: 1. From the Buddy List screen, press the Options softkey. 2. Select Send IM To... then press the Select softkey. 3. Type the User’s screen name then press the OK softkey.

    If you choose to decline messages from users on your phone, the block is only good for as long as you are signed on to the AIM service. The next time you sign on, that user will be able to send messages to you. To permanently block a user, use AOL or AIM on a computer.
