9. TROUBLESHOOTING ...

If a problem arises, try this first: remove the batteries from all the handsets in your installation for about
1 minute; disconnect and then reconnect the power supply to the base; reinstall the batteries.
Problems
The base light is out.
There is no dial tone, or you
hear a sequence of error beeps
during a call (you may be cut
off).
You hear an error beep instead
of the dial tone.
The reception quality
deteriorates during the call.

Causes
The unit is not powered up.
The handset is out of range of
the base.
The handset is not registered
with the base.
The batteries are flat.
Somebody is already on the
line.
You are out of range of the base
or in an environment prone to
interference.
Solutions
Make sure the mains adapter is
plugged in properly.
Move nearer to the base.
See 7.1 (page 27)"Adding a
Extra Handset".
Put the handset back on its
base to recharge it.
Try again when they have rung
off.
Move nearer to the base.
