4.3 Internet Connection Test

After you have configured Internet connection settings on the ZyXEL Device, test the
connection. Launch a web browser and enter any web site address for example, http://
www.zyxel.com).

Type the IP address of the L2TP server.
Type the user name given to you by your ISP. You can use alphanumeric and -
_@$./ characters, and it can be up to 31 characters long.
Type the password associated with the user name above. Use up to 64 ASCII
characters except the [, ] and ?. This field can be blank.
Type your password again for confirmation.
Specify how you want to re-establish an Internet connection after the idle timeout.
Select Always On when you want your connection up all the time. The ZyXEL
Device will try to bring up the connection automatically if it is disconnected.
Select On Demand when you don't want the connection up all the time and
specify an idle time-out in the Maximum Idle Timeout field.
Select Manual when you want to manually re-establish the connection if it is
disconnected.
This value specifies the time in seconds that elapses before the ZyXEL Device
automatically disconnects from the L2TP server.
