4. Maintenance
Check tire pressure
The standard pressures of the original tires are
also given on the tire information label below
the B-pillar on the driver's side.
- Look up data label to find out tire pres-
sure suitable for this car (pressure listed
is suitable for tires in summer and win-
ter).
- Unscrew and remove the protective cap
from the valve stem.
- Install the tire pressure gauge to the
valve stem.
- Check the pressure in the tires when
they are cold. If you check the pressure
when the tires are hot, you will see read-
ings slightly higher than the cold reading.
This is normal. Do not let air out to match
the specified cold pressure.
- Adjust the tire pressure according the
vehicle's load.
- Remember to check the spare tire or
emergency tire at the same time you
check all the other tires.
- Re-install and tighten the protective cap
of the valve stem.

For some models, the cluster screen can
display current tire pressure.
Tire pressure
If the protective cap is lost, be sure to re-install
a new one.
Unless the vehicle drove several kilometers at
low speed in the past 3 hours, you can check
and adjust the tire pressure. When the vehicle
is running, the friction and deflection deforma-
tion in the tire cause the tire temperature rise
and air expansion, resulting in inaccurate in-
spection of tire pressure. Check the pressure in
the tires when they are cold.
The tire pressure described in this manual is
based on the cold tire pressure in summer and
winter. The hot tire pressure will be higher than
the cold tire pressure. If the cold tire pressure
meets the specification, do not let air out when
the tire becomes hot. Otherwise, the tire will be
underinflated, resulting in tire burst when the
vehicle is moving.
Whether the tire pressure is normal or not is
crucial when the vehicle moving at high speed.
Therefore, check the pressure in the tires when
refueling and before long-distance driving.
Keep the pressure in the spare tire and the
emergency spare tire up to the maximum pres-
sure specified by your vehicle.
