When I scan larger photos (8x10), there is a red shadowy line down the side of the photo that I cannot get rid of. I have tried scanning in all different modes, with different configurations and cannot get rid of it

The document does not specifically mention fixing a red shadowy line appearing on scans from an Epson Perfection V600 when scanning 8x10 photos. However, you can try the following general troubleshooting steps for scan quality issues:

- Clean the document table or transparency unit window, as dust or dirt may cause scan artifacts.
- Check the brightness and contrast settings in Office Mode, Home Mode, or Professional Mode.
- Adjust the Display Gamma setting in the Color menu to match your output device.
- Enable Color Control and Continuous Auto Exposure in the Color menu.
- Reset the Auto Exposure setting to the default using the Recommended Value option.
- Use the Histogram Adjustment tool in Professional Mode to fine-tune brightness.
- Check the brightness and contrast settings of your computer monitor.

If the issue persists, inspecting the scanner for hardware defects or trying a different scanning mode may help.

Why is my V600 scanner unable to scann 6x6 images on 120 film? It constantly resets the target size to a default of 2.20x1.59 inches. It constantly resets trimming to on, no matter how many times I set it to "off". Why is your software not working?

My Epson Perfection V600 Photo scanner has a green error light. I have downloaded the driver and restarted my computer. I have attached the USB cord to the computer, but I cannot get the computer to recognize the scanner.

If the Epson Perfection V600 scanner has a solid green light but is not recognized by the computer, try the following steps:

1. Use the Epson Scan 2 software recommended for the scanner.
2. Ensure the scanner is connected directly using the USB cable provided.
3. If your computer has only USB-C ports, use a reliable USB-A to USB-C adapter.
4. Uninstall and reinstall the scanner drivers.
5. Restart the computer after reinstalling the drivers.

Note: Some users report issues when using adapters, but direct USB-C to USB-A connections with a quality adapter may still work.
