    DESCRIPTION OF THE APPLIANCE Freezer control Freezer calendar (recomended storage times for frozen foods) Freezing fresh food compartment Frozen food storage compart- ments Thermometer Your appliance is frost free, which means there is no need to manually defrost your appliance as this will be carried out automatically.

    OPERATION Before use Remove all securing tapes. Wash inside the appliance with lukewarm water and bicarbonate of soda (5 ml to 0.5 litre of water). Do not use soap or deter- gent as the smell may linger. Dry thoroughly. Freezer controls 1 - Thermostat control knob 2 - Fast freeze switch 3 - Fast freeze light (yellow)

    Freezing fresh food In any 24 hour period you can freeze up to 9 kg of fresh food. When you first start the freezer or after a period of non-use, press the fast-freeze button (2) 2-3 hours before you want to freeze your food (the yellow light (3) lights up).

    Normal operating sounds The advanced design of today’s frost free appliances mean you hear unfamiliar noises during everyday operation. The diagrams below describe some of the noises you may hear. These are quite normal and mean your appliance is operating correctly. COOLING FAN You may hear the cooling air being blown inside the cabinet by the fan.

    MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING Before any maintenance or cleaning work is carried out, DISCONNECT the appliance from the ELEC- TRICITY supply. Warning This appliance contains hydrocarbons in its cooling unit maintenance and recharging must therefore only be carried out by authorised technicians. Internal cleaning Clean the inside and accessories with warm water and bicarbonate of soda (5ml to 0.5 litre of water).

    Door Reversal Before carrying out the operations described below, pull out the mains plug from the wall socket. You will need a Philips screwdriver (cross headed) and a normal screwdriver (slot headed). Carry out door reversal as follows: 1. Gently lay the appliance on its back with the top held away from the floor by 5-8 cm (2-3 inches) of packing.
