    FITTER’S INSTRUCTIONS 1.1. PRECAUTIONS The following precautions should be taken before connecting the appliance: - Do not install or use the appliance in a place which is not well ventilated! - These appliances are designed exclusively for the catering trade and must be operated only by qualified personnel, trained in their use.
  • Page 7 1.3. Installation Installation, starting up and maintenance must be carried out only by qualified, authorized fitters. Installation must be carried out according to the current regulations mentioned above. If this clause is unheeded, the manufacturer will not be held responsible for faulty operation, especially when installation does not comply with the above-mentioned regulations.

Preparations for operation WARNING: The calibration screws visible on the thermostatic valve and/or gas cocks cannot be tampered as they were sealed during the test of the unit. 1.4.1. Checking connection pressure Check connection pressure by means of a U-shaped manometer, minimum 0.1 mbar. Remove the setscrew from the pressure pipe and attach the manometer.
  • Page 9 1.5. Conversion and/or adaptation Appliances can be converted to other types of gas, e.g. from methane to LPG by replacing the nozzles on the main burner and pilot burner. The necessary nozzles are provided with the appliance and are clearly labelled. Consult the tables 1-2 in Appendix.
  • Page 10 1.6. Maintenance Our equipment do not need particular maintenance works. However we suggest to have them checked once a year by the Technical Services for: - Combustion, ignition and safety - Functional controls as per paragraph 1.4.6. - Efficiency of electrical and thermic protection device - Cleaning and tightening of the contact holdfast - Ducts and sheath insulation condition 1.6.1.
  • Page 11 1.7. Possible causes of faulty operation Problems may arise even when the appliance is used properly. Remember that some of the surfaces of the appliance become hot in use: Attention - danger of burns! Our appliances are designed exclusively for the catering trade and must be operated only by qualified personnel trained in their use.
  • Page 13 2.4.2. Start-up of oven 2.4.2.1. Ignition of oven pilot burner Open the oven door. Rotate the cover to expose the flame inspection hole on the bottom of the cooking chamber. Turn the thermostat knob to the position hold down the lighting push-button while pressing the ignition button ( symbol) repeatedly.

    MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING "The job is not finished until the appliance has been cleaned!" This should be your motto! A well cared-for appliance will give you longer service and daily cleaning assures constant efficiency. Before cleaning the equipment, turn off the omnipolar switch between the appliance and the electricity mains inlet.
