Depth Scales
In Normal Mode, read the outer white scale and multiply by the range setting. Here, the range is set to "x1." Bottom is at 15 feet, a fish is at 12
feet, and there is a weak signal at 10 feet. If the Range Control was set to "x2," the bottom would be interpreted as 30 feet, the fish at 24
feet, and the green mark at 20 feet.
