  • Page 10 All Maple Shells The 6-ply bass drum, floor tom, and tom tom shells are all crafted with Yamaha’s original "Air Seal System" to ensure the utmost in quality. We revived the once common 60 rounded edge and combined it with a triple-flanged hoop-also an old standard-to give these drums a thick yet mild retro tone.

The spur is designed with a lever that makes sliding the spur tip in and out easy, and height is easy to adjust and secure with a drum key.

    13 inch snare are all one-size larger than before. The 7-ply shells are made of Birch and Philippine Mahogany using our origi- nal Air-Seal System. Yamaha CS641 cymbal stands have been utilized to allow the use of larger cymbals and greater setting variation.

    The all maple 6-ply shells are formed using our original Air Seal System to ensure perfectly round shells. A steel ring added to the shells inner edge adds power, tightness and excellent attack to the drum. Yamaha's small lugs provide quick and precise tuning even during performance.
  • Page 24 Low Frequency Capture Device "SUBKICK" SKRM100 Russ Miller's idea put into reality. Large diameter diaphragm captures bass drum sub-frequencies. The SUBKICK consists of a 10" x 5" birch and Philippine mahogany 7-ply shell that houses a 16cm, 50-watt low- frequency driver cone that acts as a diaphragm for this sub-frequency capture device.
