w i c h t i g , d a ß s i e r i c h t i g a u f b e w a h r t
werden , da sie sonst Schäden
bekommen können. Feuchtigkeit ist das
größte Problem bei der Verwahrung von
Segeln. Feuchtigkeit erzeugt Schimmel.
Auch wenn modernes Tuchmaterial
Schimmel standhält, kann er doch
häßliche Flecke und schlechten Geruch
verursachen. Achten Sie darauf, daß
d a s S e g e l t r o c k e n i s t w e n n e s
eingepackt wird. Bewahren Sie es dann
an einem trockenen Ort auf. Das
Großegel muß auch in der Saison
geschützt werden. Die UV-Strahlung der
Sonne kann das Tuch beeinflussen.
Immer die Segelpersenning verwenden,
wenn das Großegel am Baum verstaut

be damaged. Damp is the worst enemy
when storing sails. Damp will cause
mildew, a n d e v e n i f m o d e r n c l o t h s w i l l

s t a i n s a n d o d o u r. Therefore make sure
t h a t t h e s a i l i s c o m p l e t e l y d r y b e f o r e
y o u p a c k i t a n d t h e n s t o r e i t i n a d r y
p l a c e .
