TECHNICAL DATA

(1) Attenuation values
The attenuation values and sound level relationships for Peltor ComTac are tested and
approved according to prEN 352-4 and applicable parts of EN 352-1.

(2) Level relationships
The relationship between A-weighted sound pressure levels outside and inside the cup.
(3) Input signal level/usage time
The maximum allowed audio signal in relation to usage time.
To prevent harmful levels on the earphones, the specified input signals must not be exceeded
(Speech signal average level). The earphone level for music is maximum 82 dB(A) equivalent
sound level according to the demands of the PPE directive.

HY68 Hygiene kit
Easy-to-replace hygiene kit, consists of two attenuating cushions and snap-in
sealing rings. Replace at least twice a year to ensure constant attenuation, hygiene
and comfort, or if any of the parts in the hygiene kit are defective.
The protection, and particularly the sealing rings, can deteriorate over time and
should be inspected regularly to ensure that no cracks and sound leakage exist.
Replace damaged sealing rings; see Care.
HY100 Clean single-use protectors
A single-use protector that is easy to apply to the sealing rings. Package of 100
pairs of single-use protectors.

The Peltor ComTac can be converted into a headset by installing a boom microphone on
one of the guides or using a throat microphone. The microphone connects by a split cable to
the audio input on the ComTac and an external radio.
