Hob use The hotplates can be used in a similar manner to conventional electric hotplates to fry and boil food. The left hand hotplate is controlled using the upper HOTPLATE knob and has a higher rating (see table below). The right hand hotplate is controlled using the lower HOTPLATE knob.
