turns on. Then press ON/OFF button once, and the appliance will start to brew strong coffee. Both
the STRENGTH and ON/OFF indicators will be illuminated.
b. The brewing process can be interrupted by pressing the ON/OFF button once at any time. At
that time, the ON/OFF indicator will extinguish and the appliance will turn off. The appliance will
continue brewing once ON/OFF button is pressed again.
c. When the AUTO indicator is on, you can set the delay function to start the coffee maker at your
desired time. If you do not want to use delay function, you can cancel the automatic start function
by pressing the AUTO button. The AUTO indicator will be extinguished.
7. You can take out carafe, pour and serve at any time. The appliance will stop dripping automatically,
but the time cannot exceed 30 seconds.
8. Remove the carafe to serve when finish brewing (about one minute after the coffee stops dripping
out.)
NOTE:
The coffee you get will be less than the water you have added, as some water is
absorbed by the coffee grounds.
9. When the brewing process is finished, if you do not want to serve immediately, the coffee can be
kept warm on the warming plate. The appliance will shut off automatically two hours after the ON/
OFF button is pressed if it has not been manually turned off at the completion of brewing. For an
optimum coffee taste, serve it just after brewing.
10. Always turn the coffee maker off and disconnect the power supply when not use.
NOTE:
Use caution when pouring the coffee. You may be hurt as the temperature of freshly-
brewed coffee is high.

If you do not want the coffee maker to start operation immediately, for
example: now it is 8:10 a.m. and you want the coffee maker to start
automatically at 1:00 p.m., first follow steps 1 to 5 of the USING YOUR
COFFEE MAKER section, then set the automatic start function as
follows:
1. Press the HOUR or MIN button repeatedly to set the present time,
8:10 a.m. If you don't press the HOUR and MIN button again, after 3
seconds, the coffee maker will store the time you just set (see Fig. 1).
NOTE:
The time cycle is 12 hours.
2. Press PROG button once, and the word TIMER shows in the upper-left corner of the display.
3. Set the delayed starting time by pressing HOUR and MIN button repeatedly. In our example that is
PM 01:00 (see Fig. 2).
4. Press the AUTO button once. The AUTO button indicator illuminates. The LCD will display the
current time. You may check the automatic start time by following the operation as below: firstly,
press "AUTO" once, its indicator turns off, then press "PROG" once and then you can check the
automatic start time. And you need to press "AUTO" again to reactivate the "automatic start
function" after checking the automatic start time.
NOTE:
You may cancel the automatic start function by pressing ON/OFF button. If you
want to change the automatic start time, repeat steps 1-4 above.
5. When the time is due, the AUTO button indicator will turn off and the unit starts brewing. The
appliance will shut off automatically two hours after the delayed brewing starts if it has not been
manually disconnected at the completion of brewing.

In throwing out the used grains, I dislodged the spring valve. How do I get the spring valve back in position?

After I followed sets 1 to 5, I pressed the start button. The machine beeped 3 times and didn’t brew the coffee. Machine is a few years old so maybe we need a new coffee maker??

The Master Chef coffee maker model 043-1320-0 beeps three times and does not brew coffee if the top cover is not closed properly. This happens because the funnel is not assembled correctly, preventing the cover from closing. Ensure the funnel is positioned correctly and the top cover is fully closed before starting the brewing process.

@Mr. Anderson. I have the same problem. My coffeemaker is a few years old also and my lid is closed properly. Beeps 3 times and does not brew. The burner also remains cold.

The manual does not specify whether the clock display stays bright to show the time continuously.
