Motor turns on but does not start, it begins to draw amps like it wants to start but doesn’t. Just replaced the brushes literally minutes prior to trying to turn it on.

If the Skil RT1322-00 motor turns on but does not start after replacing the brushes, possible causes could include:

1. Worn or improperly installed brushes – If the new brushes are not seated correctly or do not make proper contact with the motor, the motor may not function properly.
2. Incorrect brush type – Using brushes that are not compatible with the motor could prevent it from starting.
3. Damage to the motor or armature – If the motor was used with worn-out brushes for too long, the armature or other internal components may be damaged.
4. Dust or debris in the brush holder – Any obstruction in the brush holder may prevent proper electrical contact.
5. Faulty wiring or loose connections – If wires were disturbed during brush replacement, a poor connection could prevent the motor from running.

Checking the brush installation and ensuring they are properly seated may resolve the issue.
