    OPERATING MANUAL CONVERSION OF THE RESISTANCE OF PAINT The meter RS 500 measures the paint resistance in ohms (Ω), kiloohms (kΩ) or megaohms (MΩ). To convert this measured paint resistance from kΩ into the specifi c resistance value in kΩ.cm, the measurement can be multiplied by the cell constant.

Position container for probing outside area at risk of explosion! Earth container! Note: Zero calibration and a battery test must always be undertaken before probing! The probe must be cleaned before each measurement.

    RS 500 VERSION 05/2012 ORDER NUMBER DOC2330092 OPERATING MANUAL MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR CLEANING THE UNIT The probe must be clean if the paint resistance is to be measured accurately. The probe must therefore always be cleaned thoroughly before and after probing! A suitable solvent must be used to clean the probe.

Push batteries gently towards the housing wall and remove from above. Swivel new batteries (9V block battery) into holder and insert (note terminal connections, see diagram below).
