Trouble Shooting
Cause
The device has overheated.
Power supply has been
interrupted
Insufficient gradient
Check valve/jubilee clips are not
fitted correctly.
The macerator is connected to
an incorrect size pipe.
The electrical install was
incorrect.
The check valve is facing in the
wrong direction.
Pressure switch is blocked
Discharge pipes are too
long/high
Discharge pipe is to small
Unit is blocked.
Pump is blocked
Check valve is installed the
wrong way round.
Check valve is faulty
The tank is leaking
There is a partial blockage
Pressure switch is defective
The unit is not properly
connected to the electric supply
The pressure switch is not
connected.
The motor is not operational
Resolution
Leave the unit to cool for 30
mins, switch it back on and hold
the override switch to reset the
unit. Check for blockages.
Check fuses and power supply.
Ensure a gradient of 1cm per
meter is used.
Check these items.
Ensure the pipe is 32 or 40mm.
Ensure the device was installed
by a qualified person.
Check the check valve(s).
Check/replace the pressure
switch.
Check the distances against the
spec.
Check the sizes
Service as per instructions
above.
Check/service pump.
Check the check valve.
Examine/replace the check
valve.
Check the tank.
Clear the blockage
Replace the pressure switch
Check the supply
Check by pressing the override
switch several times.
If pressing the override switch
has no effect the motor may be
dead.
