PC Card Data Base Compatibility

Keep the following PC Card data base compatibility guidelines in mind when backing up and restoring site data:
Use Blank PC Card P/N 85880 to store up to 16 system data bases. You cannot store data bases on PC
Card with Software P/N 80051-V02.**.**.
All software version 02.**.** data bases in systems using CPU P/N 80025A are forward compatible
(regardless of whether they are installed in a 4 or 8 slot cabinet).
Software version 02.**.** data bases in systems using CPU P/N 80025 are not compatible with data
bases using CPU P/N 80025A. This applies only to 4 slot cabinets, since you cannot use CPU P/N 80025
in an 8 slot cabinet.
If restoring a data base from software version 02.00.00 only, the data base addresses are offset by 8. For
example, a 02.00.00 data base you store in address 00 becomes address 08 in 02.04.00.
Data bases prior to 02.00.00 are not compatible with data base versions 02.00.00 or higher. If you
upgrade your system software from a version prior to 02.00.00, you must use 9999 - System Initializa-
tion to initialize your system.
Always review Guidelines for Upgrading DS1000/2000 Systems to Software Version 02.02.17 or
Higher (P/N 80000UPG**) after upgrading your system.
